This blog collects cultural resources from the past and present of living with and surviving sea level rise. It started in spring 2022 and accompanies the development and since 2023 the work of the global network POLI-SEA. POLI-SEA aims to facilitate cultural and educational activities to help coastal communities adapt to sea level rise.
The network and blog are projects by JP Possmann with initial support by Schwankhalle Bremen and Goethe-Institute Jakarta and in cooperation with IVAA in Yogyakarta/ID, Civic Studio in New Orleans/USA, B’sarya for Arts in Alexandria/EG, Bremer Zentrum für Baukultur in Bremen/GER, Frascati in Amsterdam/NL, TBA21 in Venice/IT and CityScienceLab @ HafenCity University Hamburg/GER
